  • Lion's Club Polar Bear Swim for Sight
    1001 people braved the icy water of Lake Ontario in Olcott, NY this weekend under a sunny sky. It was a great day for a swim. While the air was warmer than usual for this event the water was a cool 36 degrees.

  • World record set in Buffalo
    The ice maze was finished and there were lines and lines of people waiting to walk through it Saturday at the Powder Keg Festival. Not only was it a fun day, but this maze set a world record. It was a beautiful day to enjoy the festival, although just a couple of degrees too warm for the ice.

  • Ice maze
    The ice maze was just about finished this afternoon. It is pretty amazing really. Lots of people helping with brute strength, chain saws and all sorts of equipment. The middle of the ice maze will feature a buffalo. It's easy to see what it will look like finished with the outline already clearly visible.

  • BLUES IN BFLO SOLO SHOW BY CHERYL GORSKI
    Cheryl Gorski photographer is having a solo show of national, and some local Blues Musicians Feb 27th @ The Lafayette Tap Room Downown Bflo 5-9pm. This show was a way of healing after losing a baby in 2006. I was able to regain my confidence and pick up my camera again. THere's over 150 images that are going to be part of history and make the 4 yrar anniverary of the Lafayette Yap Room. There's going to be a $10.00 cover at the door which is a donation for the Children of Gateway Longview. THere's going to be auction items also to help benefit the children. I will be selling books and t shirtrs. THe Lafayette Tap Room will be providing scrumptious snacks. Sal Andolina ( from the philharmonic) and his swing band will be playing from 5-6:30, Jimmy Bigrock Hawkins will be crump dancing , Joe Mahfoud from 7-8pm, and Todd Eberwine & Dave Miller will be our entertainment.
